Alphabet Club B = Detention for Me!

I'm so late with this post, I'm due for a major detention!

B is for many BEAUTIFUL charts
such as the BOO Club Series by Lizzie Kate.
I currently have four of them as WIPs: Creepy, Spooky, Eek, Fright, and Treats.

And I've finished three: Pumpkin, Brew and Monster.

B is also for Brigitte of At Brigitte's Place, who had the wonderful idea of showing charts in her stash for each letter. She was kind enough to let me borrow the idea.
Here are some B's from my stash that are at the top of my To Stitch list:

Cherished Teddies BEARS
I have a lot of these as I collect them. I think I have close to 20 designs started but haven't worked on them lately so no update pics. Instead, here are more I'd like to start!
Carousel, The Spirit of America, and Gardening Angels, all by Gloria and Pat

BABY Samplers
Although my first cross stitch finish was a baby sampler for my niece, I have yet to make them for my two girls. I like these two the best: Baby Girl Birth Sampler from One Nice Thing After Another by Gloria and Pat, and Noah's Ark For Baby by Leisure Arts.

Also in the B file, I have a BERENSTAIN BEAR leaflet by Country Cross Stitch adapted for Paragon Needlecraft,
BIRDHOUSE Welcome by Dimensions, BINGO by C & L Crafts and Co, and Main Street by BUCKEYE Designs.

Of course, I couldn't forget the designer, BROOKE Nolan, of BROOKE'S BOOKS. I recently discovered her and love a lot of her designs. She has tons of adorable freebies over at her website. You can join her Yahoo Group to access some free charts. She also has an Etsy shop
where she sells her designs. I bought the Little Women set; I think when I start these, I'll stitch them on one piece of fabric rather than four.

Thanks for reading and looking. Hopefully I'll be on time next month!
Blessings :-)

Roses, Gifted Gorgeousness and a VERY LATE Turtle Trot

It's been a very busy week around here. I'm FINALLY feeling better!! YAY!! It is soooo wonderful to be able to function normally again. I'm on some new vitamin supplements that help a lot. The pain is always a constant, but it's very mild and doesn't interfere with my daily activities right now.
That being said, I've been running around like crazy playing catch up. School, housework and planning for Alex's first birthday have consumed most of my time. I've squeezed in a tiny amount of crafty time lately and have a few things to show.

Astri of Apple Blossom Dreams is hosting a Granny Rose CAL; this is a pattern I've always wanted to make. I'm dreadfully behind because I spent forever choosing my colors. I've managed to make a few roses and would like to get a lot more made this weekend.
So far, I have 8 in Panther Pink and 1 in Pretty N Pink. I'm going to make some two-toned with pink and black and some two-toned in pink and Panther Pink.

Jo of Serendipitous Stitching is the host of Gifted Gorgeousness. We work on projects that are gifts to us or gifts for someone else. I worked on two charts this month.
Prairie Schooler Santa's 12 Days of Christmas was a gift from Linda. I finished all the red on Day 1.
Phineas and Ferb from Clouds Factory is a gift for my daughter, Hope; this is one of her favorite shows.

And I'm way late with Turtle Trot! On the 10th of every month, we (are supposed to!) post progress pics of 10 pieces we've picked to stitch in 2015. This is being hosted by Claudette of BAP Attack. I only managed to work on 7 this past month.

R is for...

Blogging A to Z
ROLY-POLYs
I love Cherished Teddies. For Debbie's ISDUCJFM challenge, I started fifteen Cherished Teddies charts, seven of them from the Roly Poly series (I have the other five in my Turtle Trot rotation).
November Roly Poly, start #11
Started January 11, 2015
Progress as of April 21, 2015
And R is for
ROUND Crocheted Blankets
I love that blankets don't have to be square. I made a few round ones last year.
These two are the same pattern, a free round ripple pattern that's not available online anymore. I'm glad I have a printed copy. The top one is Alex's, and the bottom one was donated.
This is another blanket that was donated. You can find the free pattern here at Dly's Hooks and Yarns.

And R is for
Baby RABBITS!!

We discovered the nest last Wednesday (unfortunately because the dog found it first and got two of them) and have been keeping an eye on it ever since. Lots of research has taught us mama rabbit comes twice a day to feed them, she doesn't mind us touching them, and they'll be leaving the nest in another week or two (hard to believe as they are still tiny enough to fit in the palm of your hand and don't have their eyes open). It's absolutely amazing to see them progress from day to day.
Thanks for reading and looking.
Blessings :-)

April Turtle Trot

Oops! I almost forgot to post Turtle Trot. This is a SAL hosted by Claudette of BAP Attack. We pick 10 pieces to stitch on and post progress pics on the 10th of every month.

I only managed 8 out of 10 this past month.

Stitched the right sleeve and the neck ruffle

2.Roly Poly September
Stitched more of the brown

3.Sunflower Seeds
Stitched the second border frame and started filling it in

4. God So Loved the World
Stitched a little more of the sky (you have to look at the top left corner of the blue to see it)

5. Next Trick
Stitched a little bit of the cat

6. Lid Up
Stitched the rest of the bowl and a couple rows more of the tank

7. Roly Poly August
Stitched a little of the blue section

8. Roly Poly April
Stitched more of the raincoat

I didn't get a chance to work on Roly Poly February or Brown Trotter, so they look the same.

Thanks for reading and looking.
Blessings :-)

P.S. On the health front, today was a really good day. I had only a minimum of pain and more energy than I've had in two weeks. Thank you again for all the well wishes. Next week, I'll be making more doctor's appointments for more tests.
