Two pictures in one day again.
June 27's topic was Bathroom.

Yeah, right! I am not posting a picture of my bathroom. But posting a picture of the door was acceptable :-)

Today's topic is On the Shelf.

This is my Memory Shelf (ironically, directly across from the bathroom). It's messy and cluttered, but everything on here means something. We have souvenirs from trips, pictures, Hope's artwork, gifts from family and friends, things passed down from family members, you name it. I love all the stories it holds.

Today's topic is Where I Shop.

This one was tough because I didn't go shopping today and I wasn't thinking about it when I was shopping the other day! The majority of my shopping is done in the store; I check the ads to find out if there are any good sales before I go. But I do a fair amount of shopping from direct sales catalogs: Stampin Up, Mary Kay, Celebrating Home, Tupperware, etc. My friends and I are home party queens!

Getting Caught Up and Scrap Jar Week 3

I got a little behind on my granny square CAL when the AC was out, so I've been getting caught up today. I finished the week 5 squares.

I'll get the week 6 squares done in time for WIP Wednesday. It's supposed to rain all day again tomorrow; Tropical Storm Debby hasn't been too bad where we are; we got about 3-5 inches of rain today. Other parts of the state have been hit a lot harder. That's summer in Florida :-)

This is Mr. Pib. He's cute, and he knows it. Yes, he's sitting on the bird cage; Stormy and Twitter (our two male cockatiels) don't mind as long as he doesn't bother them. And he didn't mind the blanket I wrapped around him; he stayed in it for about 20 minutes after I took this.

Photo a Day June 17

I didn't post a picture yesterday because the topic was out and about; I was supposed to take a picture of somewhere I went. The only place I went was over to the shop to clean out all the stuff that was still left after the fire; not a pleasant trip, so I didn't think you wanted to see pictures. We didn't go anywhere today, but I will make an effort tomorrow to go somewhere and take a picture of it.

Today's topic is What's in your bag?

I have several bags around the house with WIPs in them, but you've seen those. So I took a picture of my purse contents.

Just the usual stuff: comb, wallet, medicine, makeup, checkbook, pens, calendar, coupons,scissors, plus my jewelry catalogs and business card case. The only things that didn't make the picture that I usually have with me are my phone, camera, crochet hook and some yarn (oh, yarn did make the picture; there's a little scrap next to the scissors!).

Today's topic was yellow. Nice and easy.

While Hope and I were playing Monopoly, I realized how much yellow was in the game. She thought I was crazy as I paused the game to take a picture of the Community Chest cards, the $10 bills, and the yellow properties. Any other Monopoly fans out there?

OK, I give up. Today's topic was time, and I was trying to think of something more interesting to photograph besides my clock. But my air conditioning died at 1:00 today and it's been about 85 degrees in my house with all the windows open and the fans running. It's late and I can't think of anything interesting.

So, without further ado, my picture!

Hope and I had a great time eating watermelon and watching Phineas and Ferb on Saturday.

And I had a great time scrapbooking with Angela and Helen on Sunday (I should have had someone else take the picture so I could be in it, but I didn't think about it at the time.)

Today's topic was tricky. It was 6:00, and I was supposed to take a picture of what I was doing at either 6 am or 6 pm or take a picture of the clock at that time. Well, at 6 am, I was asleep (I am not a morning person), so I only had one shot. 

So, what was I doing at 6:00?

Crocheting, of course! Working on the round ripple right now, then on to the granny squares.

Photo a Day June 6

Today's topic is hats.

This is my friend, Mandy the Mannequin. She's very helpful at my jewelry shows when I want to model jewelry quickly without taking out someone's hair. She's also very quiet; that might be because she doesn't have a head, but I like to think it's because she's shy.

The hat is one of those things I bought in a weak moment; it's completely impractical and I think I've only worn it twice in three years. But it called to me from the top shelf in a consignment shop. The shop owner said it came from Italy, I'm a hopeless romantic, and the rest is history.
