WIP Wednesday

Where do the hours go? I can't believe it's almost midnight on Wednesday.
What am I working on? A couple things:
Still working on my two Mile a Minute afghans and my granny square afghan. I don't have any new pictures to post; I haven't made enough new progress to take new pictures.
I finished Hope's slippers
and started another pair for my friend, Amanda.
I'm making these with only one strand of yarn because it's super bulky Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick n Quick. It's working up very soft but still very firmly shaped. The color is Sequoia.
I finished one dishcloth for my friend, Helen, in the Rouge Red and started another in the same color. Now I just have to make two in the Peace and I'll be done with those.
And I (with Helen's help) finished the cards for the baskets:
I hope you had a wonderful Wednesday.

Two Tuesday

I hope Debi of Dly's Hooks and Yarns doesn't mind, but I decided to use her as my inspiration on Tuesdays. It's a great day to list what you're grateful for.
Two things I'm grateful for:
My wonderful followers on my blog-thank you so much for all your wonderful comments, ladies. Even if I haven't had the time to answer you yet, please know you always make me smile.
The cooler weather today-although we live in Central Florida and are quite used to the heat, it always comes much too early for me after winter. The high 50s temperature this morning was very refreshing.

I finished two projects today:
The last two dishcloths for my Stampin Up friend. Thank you, Sharon and Debi, for all your nice compliments on these. I love making them!
My second completed project is two of the items for my gift baskets for work.
Aren't these darling? They're made with paper!! The Sizzix Big Shot has a die that cuts out two purses with handles from a single sheet of paper. Just fold on the score lines, stick together with double sided tape, and add brads. Voila! And there's treasure inside...

Hershey Nuggets (which for some reason I always call Hershey Treasures). I put an Avery label on each one stamped with holiday label stamps.
My friend and I made ten of these bee cards, five for each basket.
Now my goals for tomorrow: finish assembling the last two projects for the gift baskets, finish crocheting my daughter's slippers, work some more on my three WIPs that are trying to turn into UFOs, and start another set of dishcloths for another friend.
I want to leave you with two links to projects I think are cool:
(cute and fun to make; I'll post pictures tomorrow of the two I've made)
(part of my growing list of afghans I'd like to make)
Thanks for reading!
Blessings :-)

New Project Monday

It's the first day of a new week, so I thought I'd start a new project. I am a sufferer of C.A.D.D. (Crochet Attention Deficit Disorder - thanks, Sharon, for the term), so I'm required to start new things every now and then to keep my crochet attention going.
I made a dishcloth yesterday (the pattern is Rose in Bloom and can be found here on BestFreeCrochet.com) and started another one today.
Both are made with Lily's Sugar & Cream cotton yarn in Peace. I have two more to make in Peaches & Cream cotton yarn in Rouge Red. They're a gift for a friend of mine; she's helping me make cards for two raffle baskets I have to provide for two jewelry trainings in the next few weeks.
I also started making my daughter a pair of slippers. She loved the ones I received from Sharon of Sharon's Eclectic Retreat so I decided to make her a pair.
One done so far. It looks really big in this picture! It's a little big for her but she's been growing so fast I didn't want to make the kid's size and have them not fit her for very long. I used this pattern and Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Royal and Amethyst. It's the first piece of clothing I've ever crocheted and I think it turned out pretty good :-)
My blog is one week old today! Thank you to all my wonderful followers; I hope you've enjoyed this so far. Without you, I'd just be rambling on about my life to no one.

Any suggestions for what you'd like to see on my blog?
Thanks for reading!
Blessings :-)

Paper Crafting

I didn't get a chance to crochet today. I really should, I have enough UFOs and WIPs sitting around here!

I did get to play with paper, though. We worked some more on our tags for the clothing swap.
These are the ones I did:
We finished a lot. Out of 200 tags, we finished 55.
I also had a Stampin Up card class today; we made 9 cards total, 3 of each design.

We had a lot of fun. It's great having friends who share the same passion for papercrafting as I do.

I made my first dishcloth today with cotton yarn!
Very quick (1 hour) project. I found the pattern here on bestfreecrochet.com. I love theirs in pink, but I made mine in Aloe Vera with Sugar n Cream cotton yarn.
