Just Books

Eight and a half weeks still to go (but who's counting, right?). I've reached the miserable, uncomfortable, always achy and exhausted stage. And what brain I have has been turned to mush. But on the plus side, The Bean is very healthy and active and I finally gained a couple pounds. The second thing is usually not cause for celebration, but I hadn't gained anything in my second trimester (3 pounds in the first) and the doctor was starting to question whether I was eating enough. I have been, believe me. I feel as though I'm always eating.
Crafts have taken a back burner for a little while. I'm not crocheting or cross stitching much, but I've been getting a lot of reading done.
I always have to read multiple books at once. As long as the storylines are different, I don't get confused.
Here we have a family drama, humor (Dave Barry cracks me up), history, and inspirational fiction.
 Adventure, inspiration, and psychology.
That's it for now. I hope you're having a wonderful week.
Thanks for reading.
Blessings :-)

  1. That's a lot of books Kate, I'm a read one at a time girl myself, I would loose the plot if I read more than one at once. Eight weeks will soon fly by you'll see. :) xx

    1. Most of my friends read one at a time, too. They say the same thing; they'd lose the plot if they read more than one.
I know The Bean will be here before I know it :-)

  2. I often read 2 books at the same time. 1 book I keep at the bed side and the other is in the family room or kitchen. I actually have 2 kindles and those are the "books" I read. I download the free books from Amazon. They're not always the greatest to read but if I don't like it then I delete it and don't get frustrated about wasting money.

    1. Mine are all over the house, too. It took awhile to find them all for the picture.
Yes, I love my Kindle, too, and I'm addicted to getting the free books. I have the same philosophy; if I don't like it, no big deal, just delete it. That's why I'm a frequent visitor to the library.
