Two Things I'm Grateful For:
1. Better health. My cold's finally on its way out; I just have some sniffles left. Alex is still sneezy and sniffly, but at least she's happy.
2. Getting back to a normal schedule. On top of being sick for most of the month, we had a huge anniversary celebration at church that required a lot of prep work from everyone for several weeks. That's over, so I'm enjoying the small breather between now and the holidays.
Two Patterns I Think Are Neat:
Round blankets are so pretty. The bright colors in this sample are gorgeous, too. I'd love to host a crochet along with this pattern if anyone's interested??? If you prefer thread to yarn, you can follow the same pattern to create a doily instead.
I LOVE Grumpy Cat! Michaels sells a stuffed animal Grumpy Cat, but they want $22! Crazy. Although I hate amigurumi, I may have to make this. A friend at church has offered to sew the pieces together if I crochet them. Tempting...
Thanks for reading.
Blessings :-)

I'm glad you are feeling better. Both patterns look fun (love the grumpy cat!). :-) I've bit off more than I can chew right now with crocheting for Christmas. I hope others will join in with you though. Take care and I hope you are 100% soon. Heather
ReplyDeleteThanks, Heather :-) I can completely understand. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteGlad your feeling better Kate. Thank blanket is gorgeous and I would love to join you. As long as I have a loooong time to work on it.

Thanks, Linda. I'm the turtle crocheter, so, yes, we'd have awhile to work on it.
DeleteGood that your feeling better. Your round blanket and the grumpy cat are super neat!! Love them...:)
ReplyDeleteThanks :-)
DeleteGlad you are feeling better. Grumpy cat should be a fun project.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Charlotte :-) I hope so; I'm looking forward to the finished product. Just as long as I don't have to do the sewing!
DeleteI hadn't seen this pattern before. It looks pretty in either yarn or thread (I went and had a peek at everyone's on Ravelry.) Love that Grumpy Cat too! Hee-hee. I keep forgetting to answer your question about where we live. We live in Allen, NE of Dallas between Plano and McKinney.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I thought, too, Pammy Sue. That way if people want to do a CAL but don't want to use yarn, they can make a doily. Interested?? I'm thinking first of the year. And Grumpy Cat is awesome :-)
DeleteAllen, huh? That's about an hour from us. Maybe one day we'll meet and crochet together in person :-)
Glad you and Alex are feeling better Kate, I love that blanket it's beautiful it looks like a huge doily, love the cat too. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda :-) It is beautiful as a blanket or as a doily.
DeleteHi Kate, so glad that your cold has left and that you are feeling better. Thanks for popping in, the exchange was fun! Have a nice day and enjoy the weekend too.
