I hope you have a blessed, safe holiday today :-)
Welcome to my new followers! I hope you're enjoying my little blog. With Texas trip preparations in full swing, I'm combining a few days' posts here. I need to figure out how to do the autopost thing.
Two Things I'm Grateful For:
1.) My new vacuum cleaner! I know; I'm weird. I get excited about a new appliance. But this is the first new vacuum we've bought in 12 years. I've been making do with old used models that have to be begged and coaxed to work every time I want to vacuum (and with my animals, that's a daily thing!).
2.)Yarn bargain! I found a lady in Orlando who used to crochet but gave it up (is that possible?!) and was selling all this yummy yarn for $25! There are 21 full skeins and 3 half skeins.
Two Patterns I Think are Cool
WIP Wednesday
Not a lot going on crochet-wise, simply due to a lack of time. I'll make up for it on the 18 hour car trip!
Week 6 Granny Squares
Week 7 Granny Squares
I did get two rows of the yo yo blanket done; each row is 20 yo yos wide. I'm nowhere near done with the yo yos (I need 500 total, and I only have 130), but I wanted to try the connect method to see how it would look. I followed the directions in the pattern, but it was a little tricky if you don't know the flat braid joining method. If anyone is interested, I can do a picture by picture tutorial of joining them when I get back from Texas.
Scrap Jar Experiment Week 4
Looking a lot fuller this week because I've been working on yo yos and granny squares.
Two Bits of Trivia
July 4 is National Country Music Day and Sidewalk Egg Frying Day
If the oceans were to gradually rise, Florida (350 feet above sea level
at its highest point) would become the first U.S. state to be completely
submerged underwater. (Doesn't that make me feel great?)
I love your week 7 squares it took me a while to figure them out, seeing as you are a fellow saver of scraps will you please read my today's post and see if you can help, I'm tearing my hair out lol
