My apologies again for getting behind on the Mini Rings of Change CAL. I'm not very good at leading this.
This past week's assignment of rounds 26-29 was so late, but Linda of Linda's Crafty Corner still managed to pull it off.
And, if you click on the link, you'll see an amazing picture tutorial for the cross stitch. She makes it look very easy. Thanks, Linda!
I've updated the CAL page with everyone's progress pics, including our new CAL stitcher, Carla, of lifemultithreaded.
For this week, let's just do round 30. That'll give everyone a chance to catch up. If you feel comfortable going ahead with round 31, do so; if not, you can wait until next week.
Here's a little step by step of the inverted V-stitches in round 30:
The chain 2, skipped stitch, and double crochet count as the first inverted V.
Chain 3 and skip a stitch. Yarn over and draw up a loop on your next stitch.
Yarn over and draw through two loops. You'll still have two loops on the hook.
Skip a stitch. Yarn over and draw up a loop on your next stitch.
Yarn over and draw through two loops. You'll still have three loops on the hook.
Yarn over and draw through all three loops. It's basically a double crochet two together with a skipped stitch in between.
I managed another small crochet finish this week, Stashbuster #2. They're face scrubbies for Hope's bathroom. I used two colors of cotton, but I don't know the names.
I'm linking these over at the Stashbuster Link Party at Linda's Crafty Corner.
I'm still keeping up with my starts for the Super Duper Ultimate Crazy Challenge.

I so love all of your starts Kate. I have a Stanley book and I think it's the same one. I also have a few Debbie Patrick houses. I really like #38. Is that book #417. If it is I HAVE to have it and found it on line. LOL
ReplyDeleteLove the face scrubbiies.
I am a couple rounds behind on the CAL but will get caught up soon.
Linda
Thanks, Linda :-) I've been eyeing several listed on the back; they're all so beautiful. This one is #77, the Glen Auburn in Natchez, Mississippi. No worries on the blanket; with the exception of Linda, we're all a little behind.
DeleteThat CAL is so pretty! Love all your cross stitch new starts. They are all so different.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Justine :-) I like all different kinds of charts.
DeleteHi Kate, the blanket you are working on for the CAL is very pretty. That is a good idea for the facial scrubbies, I'm sure your daughter appreciates them. I hope you have a nice weekend. Heather
ReplyDeleteThanks, Heather :-) It is a beautiful blanket, and everyone's looks so different based on their color choices. The face scrubbies are wonderful; we shared all the ones I had made in Florida when we had one bathroom. Now that we have two, she needed her own set. Have a great weekend!
DeleteEverything looks so nice! I 'specially like your cat & coffee start and the Victorian house! I am BEHIND on my Mini-Rings but I'll post a pic soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tama :-) That cat is so me in the morning, and the house is just gorgeous. No worries on being behind; with the exception of Linda, I think we all are. Hence the small assignment this week :-)
