Anyone who's ever done serious couponing knows how much work it is.
Even when you use the websites that help you pair the current sales with
available coupons, it still takes a lot of time and effort. We've
really started couponing seriously in the last month; before, I would
use a few here and there but not really get into it.
Every other
Friday, we load the truck with the cooler and the cloth grocery bags,
make our lists and gather our coupons, and head to the three stores:
Aldi's, Walmart, and Albertson's. I love Aldi's prices, but Albertson's
is really where we've been saving a lot of money lately. They've been having incredible sales every week, and we've been saving about 50% off our bill. Today we got the best coupon+sale combo we've ever done:
The deal was you bought four items from a specific list for $8.88 and received the milk free. I added a $1.00 coupon for the cereal, a 50 cents coupon for each of the Chex, and a $5.00 Albertson's store coupon. Total out the door for all five items: $1.88! I doubt that'll ever happen again.Have a fabulous Friday!
Thanks for reading.
Blessings :-)

Thats awesome Kate. I'm to lazy to do coupons.

I usually am, too, but lately budget's been dictating how much effort I put into it.
DeleteGreat deal Kate! I try to do coupons, but I'm not too good at it. It's ok though because it's good even if I save a little bit of money. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not nearly as good as some of my friends. They really save a lot of money. I'm happy with any amount I save.
