I went to my first Texas Stampin Up card class on Saturday with my neighbor. I had a lot of fun. It's been too long since I made cards. I left the Star one blank because it was a graduation card, and I don't know anyone graduating. I'll stamp it with a Happy Birthday stamp later.
I'm getting ready to pack my bag for the hospital. I wanted to take a pair of my slipper socks with me, but both pairs decided to fall apart in the last week :-( I guess I wore them and washed them to death. So I grabbed some stash yarn (Premier Dream in Tucson Teal) and made myself a new pair.
I received this in the mail on Saturday. My first thought was, "Oh boy! More baby wipes! You can never have too many." But then I opened it and found something even more exciting.
Yarn! Debi Y. from Dly's Hooks and Yarns sent me three balls of yarn. Thank you so much, Debi :-) I love them and will definitely find a use for them. I'm especially intrigued to try the keppi yarn with the fringe.
Our three trees in the backyard have been identified as peach trees. They're full of little, fuzzy, green footballs right now. With any luck we'll have lots of yummy peaches soon.
And yesterday Tim and I both got hit with the stupid stick when we left Walmart. Despite already having a large dog with only two brain cells plus a baby on the way, we decided to adopt a puppy. This little guy was in the parking lot with his teenage owners looking for a new home. I wanted to give the girls a piece of my mind because it was 85 degrees out and they didn't have any water for the dog. Instead we just took him home. He's seven weeks old and is half Blue Heeler Hound (an Australian cattle dog) and half Cur (so he fits right in with Sugar). We named him Smores.
Have a marvelous Monday!
Thanks for reading.
Blessings :-)

Hi there and thanks so much for stopping by. I just thought that I would let people know about that CeraVe lotion in case no one has heard about it. You have a baby on the way? Wow congrats and you have been so busy creating and good luck on your new puppy. Have a great day.

I appreciate it because I'd never heard of it. I'm always looking for good beauty products.

Cute slippers Kate. I love your new puppy. He can grow up with the baby.

Thanks :-) That's what Tim said about the puppy.
DeleteYou are brave! The pup is really cute and it's wonderful of you and your family to take it in. You are very productive, I like your hospital socks and your cards are really pretty. Have a great day! Heather
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice way of putting it! I still wonder what we were thinking. We're major suckers for rescuing animals, especially off the side of the road.
