This is a favorite dish in our house. It's not really healthy, but it's quick and delicious. I get a lot of requests from friends for this recipe, so I put together a photo tutorial.
You'll need the following ingredients:
2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls (8 count)
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
3oz package french fried onions
1 pound ground beef
Brown the hamburger and drain the grease.
Crush the french friend onions into crumbs.
Add the onions and cheese and mix well.
Unroll the crescent rolls and separate each one.
Place a generous scoop of filling on the wider section of the crescent roll.
I usually use a cereal spoon.
Fold the two short points of the roll over the filling one at a time.
Then fold the long point over the top.
There will be leftover filling. I place this in a freezer container or bag.
After two or three times of making the rolls, I have enough
leftover filling to make another meal.
Line up your rolls on a baking sheet.
They don't need a lot of room between them.
My large bar pan will hold all 16, but I have used 2 cookie sheets in the past.
Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until brown.
There are three people in our house. We usually eat at least 12 of the rolls for dinner paired with a side. Some nights there aren't any leftovers. If you have any questions, please let me know. Enjoy!
Thanks for reading.
Blessings :-)

ReplyDeleteThey're delicious; we love them. I'm glad I can help you clear out the pantry. Why is it we always have weird food on the shelf that doesn't have a purpose? I hope you like them.
