The Good and the Bad

It's a Good news/Bad news kind of day.

The Good News:

I wrote a pattern for a granny square. It's the first pattern I've ever made that I liked the finished product.
The computer flipped my picture sideways again so it looks a little wonky (well, it might look a little wonky anyway; my stuff usually does).
Any ideas for a name? Would anyone like the pattern?

Tim starts his new job Monday. He's not too happy about having to work for someone else again (he got spoiled being the boss for a year), but it'll be a few months before we reopen the shop and those pesky bills keep coming in the mail. He's still doing automotive work, so he's happy.

The Bad News:

The house air conditioner needs a new fan motor. We shopped around; the cheapest we can find it is $300, and that's if Tim installs it himself. Ouch! That takes a chunk out of our money for a trip to Texas we're making in three weeks.

And I'm having trouble with the blog again. I can't see more than one day's post on the home screen even though the settings are for 7 days. So when I post this, the home page will only show this post, not yesterday's or any other day's. I couldn't find a solution on the help page.Anyone had this problem and know how to fix it?

Two Bits of Trivia

June 16 is Fresh Veggies Day, Nursing Assistants Day, and World Juggler's Day.

  1. Beautiful motif, don't ask me why, but I've got the name "sailor square" in my mind. I think it's because the middle reminds me of the steering wheel on a ship.

Have you fixed your blog problem now? Because when I visit the main page, I see several posts!

    love from k-town,

    1. Great name! Seems to be liked by everyone. I'm still only seeing two days worth of posts, not 7, but it might fix itself soon (I hope!).

    1. Thanks! I used Red Heart Amethyst and Caron Symphony Ocean. You're right; I think the problem will work itself out. It's done this before and after a couple of weeks it was fine again.
Thanks for the encouraging words :-)

  3. Barbara's suggestion of 'sailor square' sounds like a good one.

Problems with Blogger seem to work themselves out. I had a problem with blogs disappearing off of my following list a little while ago.

Sorry to hear about your AC. Whenever we have plans, seems like something always comes up to spend money on - very frustrating.

Hope you have a good day. :)

    1. I think that's what I'll call it; everyone likes that name, including me.
The last time I had this problem, it fixed itself; I hope it does it again.
Thanks for the encouraging words :-)
