Monday Musings

I'm recovered from the weekend. I spent most of yesterday sleeping. After a jewelry show on Friday  ( my last one until after the Bean arrives) and the zoo on Saturday, I was pooped.

The zoo was a lot of fun. I think I like the Fort Worth Zoo better than the Dallas Zoo. I snapped tons of pictures; here are a couple of my favorites.
I think this was frozen juice. Whatever it was, he was really enjoying it.
I love owls. These are the Brazilian spectacled species.
The Harpy Eagle. Freaky looking!
Tigers are so beautiful, especially white ones.
The zoo had an exhibit of giant animatronic bugs. They were all over so it was a scavenger hunt to find them all. Here's Tim and Hope in front of the tarantula. I was 20 feet away using my loom lens.

I had my doctor's appointment this morning. All is well. I gained a pound, grew 2 centimeters, and listened to the Bean's heartbeat. My next appointment in two weeks will be exciting because we have our last sonogram.

I don't know where spring went. It's 45 degrees and windy right now; tomorrow it's supposed to frost in the morning. Crazy. On the plus side, it's a good day to do taxes. Ours always take forever because we have to add up all the jewelry business papers. I'm so glad Tim's good at math.

It's time for a snack and some hooky fun. Enjoy the rest of your Monday.
Thanks for reading.
Blessings :-)

  1. That eagle totally creeps me out! Ewww-wah! If I saw that in person in the wild, I don't know what I'd think or do. It looks like...I don't know, something bad. Ha-ha. I love to watch the gorillas at the zoo. They are scary too though when they look at you.

    1. I know, we couldn't stop staring at it. Creepy! Kind of a cross between a bird and a raccoon. The little gorilla wasn't too scary, but there was a big silver back that didn't like us taking his picture.
