Stashbusters #20: Owl Rattle and #21:Baby Washcloths

We're off to the Fort Worth Zoo today, but I wanted to show you a couple of stashbuster items I made for the Bean this week.
I found this owl rattle pattern on the Lovely Little Life blog. I'm not good at amigurumi, but I had to try it. I didn't have any trouble with the crocheting part; just don't look too closely at the stitches used to hold the pieces on. They're strong but not pretty. I used I Love This Cotton from Hobby Lobby in Red and White, Knit Picks cotton in green and blue (sorry, don't have actual names for those) and Sugar n Cream cotton in Hot Orange. I used three jingle bells stuffed into the top for the rattle.
I also made 8 baby washcloths. They're both made from Lion Brand Nature's Choice Organic Cotton. The top 4 are the color Khaki, the bottom 4 are Espresso. I used this pattern for Tiny Towels on Ravelry, although I added a row of single crochets to the beginning and end.

Have a great Saturday!
Thanks for reading.
Blessings :-)

    1. I'm having fun with it. I didn't know how to crochet 12 years ago when my daughter was born.

  3. Your little bean will be happy and clean--lol. Really, you did a nice job. I'm making an Easter bunny now and I had to look up how to sew it together. Take care and hope you enjoy your day. :)
