Quiet Day at Home and Stashbuster #7: Mitered Dishcloths

Tim went to HamFest today (that's ham radios, not the food!). I usually go with him; they usually have a lot of interesting things to look at. However, baby had other plans and, after a long, sick night, I decided to stay home. Hope and I spent the morning and early afternoon playing Horseopoly.

Of course, Sugar had to play, too.
When we were done, I finished (?) Stashbuster #7.
I added the "?" because I haven't decided if I should make a couple more. They're for a friend's birthday in March. Is 4 enough? How many dishcloths do you make for a set?
I used the same purple yarn I used for the Crazy Cloths (funny how it looks more blue in the picture), Bernat Handicrafter Cotton Candy Collection in Grape Squirt, and Sugar 'n Cream in Ecru. You can purchase the pattern here on Etsy; it's designed by the lovely Astri of Apple Blossom Dreams. I did a different border than the pattern calls for. She has a pretty picot edge on hers, but my picots don't look very nice, so I just did a single crochet edge.

I hope your Saturday is as relaxing as ours has been.
Thanks for reading!
Blessings :-)

  3. Yup, I'm still lurking around :-) Thanks for stopping by. I'm in DeSoto, just south of Dallas. New experience for this Florida girl!

  5. Cool cloths! Not sure how many for a set - but a set is a great idea...suppose it depends on how often you do the laundry and how quickly you can get to use the cleaned ones!
Hope baby is giving you more sleep!

    1. Thanks :-) Sleeping a little better; I just see it as practice for the birth. I won't be sleeping much then :-)
