Stitchy Starts: A Castle, a Snowman, and a Quilt

It's been a cold, blustery, rainy day. Perfect for stitching :-)

Start #1 for the SDUCJFC: Spring Quilts:

Stitched the pole on the left.

Stitched half of the border.

A New Stitchy Start: Cinderella's Castle

Stitched a few rows of the top left corner of the sky.

Thanks for reading and looking.
Blessings for the new year :-)

    1. It's a lot of stitches but not a lot of confetti so I like it. No, I bought it from hornswogglestore on etsy. I have yet to buy my first HAED but love all the ones I see being stitched. Happy New Year and Happy Stitching!

    1. The small charts are my favorites sometimes too! At least I know I'll finish them sometime in the near future. Thanks, Tammy :-)

  4. How do you remember where you left off with so many projects going at one time?

    1. For the cross stitch projects, I check off the stitches or rows on the chart with a pencil. As for crochet, most of the patterns I stitch are simple and repetitive. If I crochet something more intricate (my doily, for example), I do the same thing, just check off the rows on the paper.

  5. Love all your new starts Kate. What count fabric are you working them on? Have you started crocheting the blanket yet.

    1. Thanks, Linda :-) They're all on 14 count; easier on the eyes. I got the first five rounds done; I'll be posting a picture soon.

  7. So far I've only started my HAED for the stitchy new start group. I will be doing some other small things but didn't have the courage to sign up for more groups just in case they didn't get done LOL. Maybe next year I will sign up for more. I'm excited to watch your crocheting project come together. Mine is not as colorful and I'm pretty slow at it. Off to start stitching! Have a great day.
